This Privacy Policy describes how Wala Services LLC, doing business as Wala (“Wala,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through this website (the “Site”) and through related communications, including telephone, text message, email, and in-person service.

Wala is a locally owned pest control and commercial vegetation-control business serving Cameron County, Texas, including Harlingen, Brownsville, and South Padre Island.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information collected:

  • through the Site, including booking, quote, contact, and other forms;

  • by telephone, voicemail, and our answering service;

  • in person during inspections and service visits; and

This Site is intended for persons in the United States, primarily Texas. It is not directed to children or to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with separate privacy regimes, except as required by applicable law.

  • Telephone number, email address, and mailing or service address

  • City, ZIP code, and property type (residential, commercial, roadway, ranch, or industrial)

  • Service requests, appointment preferences, pest or vegetation conditions, and messages you submit

  • Payment information when you pay for service (processed by our payment processor; Wala Services LLC does not store full card numbers on the Site)

  • Photographs or notes you send about a property

  • Records of consent, including form submissions, checkbox selections, timestamps, and related technical data

Information collected automatically

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device type, and operating system

  • Referring URL, pages viewed, dates and times of visits, and approximate location derived from IP address

  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies used for Site function, analytics, and, if enabled, advertising measurement

Information from third parties

  • Answering-service transcripts and call records

  • Scheduling, customer-relationship, or form-processing platforms

  • Payment processors

  • Public property or mapping information used to locate a service address

  • Reviews or messages you post on third-party platforms

We do not request Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or health information through the Site. Do not submit that information on a web form.

4. How We Use Information

5. Website Forms and Marketing Communications

Forms on this Site may collect your name, telephone number, email address, service address, and message for scheduling, quotes, and service. Submission of a form is a request for contact about Wala services.

Telephone and text. If you provide a telephone number, you authorize Wala Services LLC, doing business as Wala, and persons acting on its behalf, including our answering service and scheduling staff, to contact you at that number regarding your request. Contact may include live calls, voicemail, and, if you separately opt in, text messages. Calls may be recorded for quality and recordkeeping. Marketing calls or texts that use an automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded voice, artificial voice, or similar technology are placed only with the consent required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and applicable state law.

Email. If you provide an email address, we may send service-related email and, where permitted, promotional email. Commercial email identifies Wala Services LLC, doing business as Wala, as the sender and includes a working unsubscribe method, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Consent is not required to purchase. You may request service without agreeing to marketing calls, marketing texts, or promotional email. Declining marketing consent does not prevent us from contacting you about an existing appointment, invoice, or service.

Opt out.

    • Email: use the unsubscribe link in the message or email info@walapest.com.

    • Text: reply STOP. For help, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

    • Telephone marketing: request placement on our internal do-not-call list by emailing info@walapest.com or during a telephone call with our office.

    • All marketing: email info@walapest.com and include your name and the telephone number or email address to be removed.

Opting out of marketing does not cancel transactional notices about scheduled service, billing, or safety.

6. Sharing of Information

We share personal information only as needed to operate the business:

  • Service providers, including website hosting, form processing, scheduling software, payment processors, email or text vendors, analytics providers, and the answering service that handles calls and voicemail;

  • Technicians and contractors who perform inspections or treatments at the service address;

  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, insurers, and attorneys;

  • Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect persons, property, or rights; and

  • A successor if Wala Services LLC transfers or sells the business, subject to this Policy or a successor notice.

Service providers are authorized to use personal information only to perform services for Wala Services LLC and not for their own unrelated marketing.

We do not share personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their independent marketing.

7. Cookies and Analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar tools that are necessary for the Site to function and cookies used for analytics or advertising measurement. You may refuse non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit Site features. If the Site uses Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or a similar tool, that provider may receive technical data about your visit under its own privacy policy.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide service, maintain business records, satisfy tax and legal requirements, and resolve disputes. Form submissions, consent records, and service histories are kept for the period required for TCPA, tax, insurance, and ordinary commercial recordkeeping, and are then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small service business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You submit information through the Site at your own residual risk.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, email info@walapest.com and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Sites

The Site may link to third-party websites, maps, payment pages, or review platforms. Those sites are governed by their own policies. Wala Services LLC is not responsible for their content or practices.

12. Texas Residents

Wala Services LLC conducts business in Texas and processes personal information of Texas residents.

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act generally does not impose its full controller duties on businesses that qualify as small businesses under U.S. Small Business Administration size standards. Even so, Wala Services LLC does not sell personal information or sensitive personal information.

You may email info@walapest.com to request access, correction, deletion, or to opt out of marketing communications.

We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may decline a request when retention is required for service, tax, insurance, legal obligation, or fraud prevention.

If Wala Services LLC later becomes subject to additional Texas privacy duties, this Policy will be updated and consumer-rights requests will be handled as required by law.

14. Changes

We may revise this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
